I'm surprised by all the Terminator 2's. My small cult of people who prefer the original are too quiet. No they aren't and there are many on imdb 2. It usually ends up being a tie on polls here. I mean T2 has made 2 lists so far and I can't imagine The Tetminator will make any lost any time soon.

Yes, I just really love the character and Harrison Ford's portrayal even if some of the rest isn't brilliant, I'd watch him in anything.

The amusing thing about this is that I like The Terminator much better than every movie in your top 10 list besides The Dark Knight. Well not all lists can be perfect. Guess I’m more biased towards certain genres than others.

I actually did see one movie based on your recommendation if I remember correctly. It was perhaps The Shop on Main Street (1965). I found it to be truly awesome.
Viridiana was the first movie I saw of my favourite director, Luis Bunuel. I usually do not repeat movies but I became such a big fan of Viridiana that I showed it to many of my friends on subsequent viewings. The movie did get into trouble with the Spanish government and the Catholic Church. It has a lot of scenes that you would call double entrend and references that are subtle. But I am pretty sure you will like it.
