I went on a vacation to Los Angeles about 15 years ago. I loved it, definitely preferred it to New York City. Anyway, I spent a lot of time just walking around, and one late afternoon I was walking down Santa Monica Blvd, and I saw these two women friends walking towards me. And as we got closer to passing each other, I realized that one of the women was Dyan Cannon. She had her little dog with her and was wearing her hair long and curly, like she usually does, and she was laughing and enjoying her company, and I was like, woah, that's Dyan Cannon... no big deal, but pretty cool all the same!
Anyway, later on I got to have the fabulous experience of eating dinner at Musso and Frank's grill with an acquaintance, but I couldn't wait to share my celeb spotting with my friend back home. So, I excused myself, went into the men's bathroom stall, called my friend right up and said "Guess what movie star I saw walking down the street today?" and it took him all of four seconds to say... "Dyan Cannon" - How utterly and fantastically random that he would have guessed that! Not in a million more lifetimes could somebody duplicate that kind of mental work. Dyan Cannon???
To this day, he and I will refer to psychic phenomena as "you're having a Dyan Cannon moment". Even if it's never going to bring about world peace, this really is the kind of thing that makes life worth living, those precious moments of universal interconnectivity. Neither of us will ever forget it. As you can tell, I am a big fan of minutia and no believer of coincidence.
Take a minute and share your own "Dyan Cannon moment"!

Had your friend been to Santa Monica Blvd before Mr. Dirty? It might have been known to have been a Dyan Cannon hang out. Not to put a smear on what is seen as a psychic connection.
I recall a synchronicity experience with a work acquaintance several years ago, when he texted out of the blue and was looking for a place to stay. I called him up, I was in a supermarket shopping at the time and we briefly chatted and then when I turned into the next aisle there he was as well chatting on the phone to me. Be both looked a bit taken aback and even embarrassed by the experience, as it was a shock to run into each other personally, when it wasn't expected.

I once watched a baseball game with a friend and called two homeruns on the exact pitch. "He's going to hit a home run right here on this pitch". Twice in one game, and I only made two predictions.

I tossed a peanut without caring at a Stellar's Jay sitting to the left of me about 10 feet away and without moving a single inch, that bird caught the peanut by merely opening a beak ever so slightly to take it. It was like destiny.

It was like destiny. Reminds me of the time I was carrying my dog across the kitchen. I happened to bring her right over my plate of food and she helped herself to a piece of chicken with perfect grace and timing.

I was listening to The Show Must Go On by Leo Sayer back in the 1970s and at the exact moment when he first sings “baby” a driver outside beeped his horn in perfect synchronisation.

not sure its true synchronicity but the weirdest thing like that in my life was a year ago when i was looking for an actor for one of my projects.
this young guy sent in his tape (reading a scene) and while he wasnt right for the part there was something about his performance that made me interested in working with him.
so i wrote a small part specifically for him. he would go on to play a younger friend of the lead and be an orphan growing up in a childrens home, soon turning 18 and having to leave the home to live on his own and being scared of whats to come.
after i sent him the script he wrote back saying he is shaking and he cant understand how i knew. i asked him what he means and he siad he is an orphan, living in a childrens home turning 18 and worried cause he has to leave soon.
How crazy is that, right?

Once in the 1980s my dad and I drove from Florida to Wash. D.C. to visit my sister. On the return trip we stopped at a McDonald's in LaGrange, Georgia. So I'm standing in line when to my surprise I noticed in the line next to me was my Physics professor. He and his son were driving from FL to D.C. We were going in opposite directions and had all stopped at the same place at the same time.

A couple I know named Renaldo and Linda moved into a new house in a new neighborhood. After a few days of living there they realized the next blocks over were Renaldo Street and Linda Avenue. True story.

At a Cubs game in the late 1960's, Philly batter Richie Ashburn hit a line drive into the left field grandstands and beaned a woman. Play was temporarily halted while a crew removed her on a stretcher. Play resumed, and Ashburn proceeded to hit another foul and almost hit the same woman who was being carted out. He actually visited her in the hospital after the game.

That's an awesome example! Great story! All of these shares are fun!

I'd say that leaves the synchronicity realm and enters the psychic one --------- I am going to take a guess and say you are an INFP...

I just felt like that could be a nice subplot for someone this young. It has happened before that I would pick people to play certain parts that thet then told me they felt exceptionally connected to or that thet felt like it was written specifically by someone who knows them very well (I didnt) but never this close to home. I know the model but never took the test, Ill try and let you know what I get .

I know the model but never took the test, Ill try and let you know what I get . It could be borderline rude for me to suggest it, but the fact that you didn't know it related to him just kind of substantiates the whole notion that you may have strong psychic abilities. Maybe it's a bold thing for me to say such a thing, and I know there are some people who refute the whole notion of ESP, but I am not one of them. I always have thought that "coincidence" is an entirely man-made construct to appease those who cannot deal with the things which cannot be proven by the scientific method. How did you handle the boy's emotional response? Did he end up playing the part? Anyway, yes, please let me know when you take the test! I will be very curious to know the results.
