Nice to see young guns thrive who some hated on and labeled as potential busts:
Fox Hield WCS Giles Jr Marvin Bagley III
I expect them in the Top 4 of the West in a couple of years.
If you're argument is Vlade Divac is a complete dolt as an Exec and will somehow screw this up - then yes - I concur - was no reason to fire the head coach after this year - after they far exceeded expectations.

The NBA changed the rules since your Sixers tanked for years, branded the tanking process as if it was something to be proud of, and needed six top-10 picks in five years just to come up with two who could make an impact. The league has taken away most of the benefit of being the worst team, or even being in the lowest echelon. Even though the Knicks had the worst record in the league — two fewer wins than lowly Phoenix and Cleveland — they only have a 14 percent chance of drawing the first pick. I can’t say the league was wrong on this. Something had to be done to stop the bottom 1/4 of the league from an annual battle to lose the most games. As for Durant and Irving, honestly I don’t know if the media in New York really is as bad as people say it is.

The easy choices here would be pick a random college team that won't ever get a top level recruit. However to make this interesting for myself I'm going to stick to pro level sports and sports that I actually follow.
So that leaves me with The Detroit Lions.
Originally I wanted to pick a team that has an Owner that's just constantly going to fuck shit up. However I couldn't think of one. Jerry Jones pops into my head but I could easily see the Cowboys winning titles in the next 25 years. The Redskins maybe? However I think Haskins will be really good so all it takes really is landing that all pro QB and making a push. Had I not liked that pick they'd have been my 2nd choice I think.
This leaves me with the Lions. I just don't see them competing anytime soon while Stafford is their QB. They wasted guys like Calvin Johnson and Barry Sanders. Stafford is/was a good/great QB and yet he doesn't have shit to show for it so he's likely to be added to the list like Johnson and Sanders. I just always expect them to fail.

I first went NBA because its parity is a myth. NBA titlists also need at least 2 superstars I think to close out. The Kings in the Pacific, in the West, I just can't paint them a ring.
