She has made an enemy of every kingdom in the 7 kingdoms. Its like thinking you're winning at monopoly when the only property you own is a mortgaged Boardwalk. You have to understand the values of these Cersei fans. These lunatics have no human values. So Cersei lost her kids playing the game. It's fine. As long as she is on the throne they are happy and content even though there is not much that the throne represents. These fuckwits are like 19 year old virgins who have ideas of chivalrous sex that you only have with the person you love. They get agitated by the thought that Jaime fucked another woman. In their fucked up mind sex should not happen between anyone but lifelong pairs. They make fun of people who willingly have sex. But they are so stupid that they find it Okay that Cersei has to have sex with Euron just to maintain her position in the King's Landing. BTW, Cersei has had sex with the likes of Lancel but these fuckwits ignore that. All in all, these are inbred incels. Nothing more. Well said.

Tywin was probably best at playing the game. Olenna was also really good. I'd say Tyrion was at least as good as the other 2 in the earlier seasons (especially season 2). The later seasons (6 - 8) are more in favor of someone like Cersei. She never had the clear upper hand, but so far has always managed to win. I do think that the test she'll face in tonight's episode will be too much for her.

She's got the throne and money. Enemies without power are irrelevant Well, money is questionable. They used the money from Highgarden to pay off the substantial debt and then to purchase the golden company. I don't believe there can be much of that left. Enemies with names will always have power in Westeros if you don't eliminate all of them. She has enough to play the game. The Iron Bank has unlimited funds and has chosen a side. My point is also that Cersei has eliminated her biggest Westerosi threat in the Tyrells, neutered Dorne (Thanks in part to Dorne), made the Riverlands pointless, and struck blows to Dany's army and killed a dragon. She has KL military, Lannisters, & a ghost ship Greyjoy fleet. Now of course all of this is due solely to the poor writing as opposed to logical development but it doesn't change the fact she's playing the game in the show.

I agree the Iron Bank has chosen a side. I'm not absolutely convinced it's Cersei's. All those great things you listed she did has weakened her odds of holding on to the throne. When everyone who is left is against you, you played a terrible game.

Best game? How can anyone say its not Tyrion?
You may not like him, but this isn't a question of who's most popular. Its a question of who has played in such a way that he/she has moved upward and stayed alive, while others have been killed or haven't advanced at all. Tyrion has done all of these.
The only reason he's taken a few steps back here and there is because people unreasonably hate him for being a dwarf. But aside from that he's talked his way into and out of just about every thing that's been thrown at him.
Tyrion da man! And I would have been fine with him as king too!

Well, I think we would have to factor in longevity and the grand scheme of how much power they obtained along the way. I would say Tywin or Olenna in this case. They played the game far longer than most, achieved far greater, and proved they can sustain their power against others time and again. You win or you die...both died. Either Bran or Sansa. Both are on a throne.

Sansa would be a good pick if the rules are only winning or dying.
She may have started off ignorant if all the ways she affected Westeros, but by the end nearly all of her plans were successful including getting rid of Dany and becoming Queen if the North on top of helping to save Jon.

Was she playing, though? Yes, she was the moment she spread her knowledge about Jon's claim, but not for herself. Her position in that moment was similar to Tyrion's or Varys', supporting another, just like Ned Stark was supporting Robert then Stannis. Did she play well? She was lucky. Daenerys would have wanted her out if she had lived. Cersei's "rule" was never one, it was merely a statement of the most likely outcomes of the "game".

Playing and winning are two separate things...
Little Finger... He almost had it all.
Varys... He was killed for being right.
Margaery... If she just could have made that realization in time...

She didn’t play well for most of it, but she finished strong. She started naive but eventually became a combo of Littlefinger and Tywin. She helped place her whole family into power positions. Even Arya is representing the Starks in her adventures. That’s Baller status.

Playing and winning are two separate things... Little Finger... He almost had it all. Varys... He was killed for being right. Margaery... If she just could have made that realization in time... In this case, Cersei belongs at the top of the list. She openly played from S1E07 to S8E05, and was taken down for 13 episodes out of 73. That should be some sort of record considering adversity never stopped. Littlefinger played under cover all along but was a supporter of several and never openly of himself, apart from that one confidence to Sansa. Did he ever play the Game Of Thrones or merely that of the parasites around the throne? He supported Joffrey through Cersei, offered treason to Renly, came back to Joffrey through Tywin, then committed treason for the Tyrells, then for Sansa, then for Cersei against Boltons and Tyrells and for the Tyrells against Cersei at the same time, then he went to support Sansa on some throne unrelated power quest… It's too bad he was slaughtered in such a way, he would have been just right in that last council meeting, proposing pieces of the melted Iron Thrones be sold to tourists in the rebuilt brothels. It would have been better than Tyrion starting his joke again… "I once went into a brothel with an Unsullied and a piece of the Iron Throne…" Varys played under cover all along too and quite well. He would have made it out alive, albeit not winning, had he not jumped off before the dragon crash. And he would have made it to the Small Council too, like Talleyrand. Honestly, I would have preferred Tyrion to be killed and these two, Varys and Littlefinger sitting there with some Davos as Hand. The irony would have made sense. Instead we got the dumbest closure possible for the well being of morons. Margaery played and lost of her own mistake, sadly. Her needlessly antagonising Cersei through Tommen is what led to the rise of the Sparrows, no matter how short-sighted that move itself was. Margaery died trying to compromise with the Sparrows for the sake of her brother in a one sided move. So no, not that well played after all. If Cersei had been part of the rescue operation in some form, the Sept would have stood until Drogon sneezed on it.

I suppose the right answer is Bloodraven.

You win or you die...both died. Either Bran or Sansa. Both are on a throne. Yes but they (Tywin/Olenna) played the game far longer and obtained more power than everyone else. They also held onto that power time and again. Bran got his power simply by existing. Pretty lame. Sansa did play the game at the end, but to say she was better than Tywin just because she's alive is silly. Eventually, Bran and Sansa will die. Will they no longer be good at playing the game then...?

I've convinced myself that it's Sansa.

Tyrion.
He didn't die (as per Cersei's rules re: a winner) and he has the throne. Bran is technically king, but Tyrion has the power and will be making the day-to-day decisions with Bran's psychic input.
Tyrion played it best by outwitting many of his enemies who wanted him dead. He gave good advice most of the time and was smart and instinctive enough to have good allies who ended up helping him. He also had some luck because that's important, too.

He's in trances much of the time like during most of the battle with the Night King and he stayed for two minutes during the meeting with his council. Tyrion became his father. Tywin was running the kingdom, not Joffrey. Tywin ran the kingdom when the Mad King locked himself away, too. Even Robert wanted Ned as Hand to run things so that Robert could continue to drink and cheat. Bran chose Tyrion to be his Hand knowing that he would basically be running the kingdom for him.

I'm not sure he does it most of the time but even so it's with a purpose in mind. Tyrion will handle the small stuff like be has before and Bran will deal with the big stuff

Tyrion. He didn't die (as per Cersei's rules re: a winner) This is about playing well, not winning by sheer luck, and there is no such thing as "Cersei's rule" to start with. Tyrion played and kept losing at every turn.
