I have an old dvd box set. The version includes a scene with Wallach and Eastwood having redubbed their lines (since they sound older). There is also a scene where Tuco talks to a chicken. I know the redubbed scene wouldn't be in the theatrical version--but is the chicken scene?
I notice Eastwood said he felt the movie was bloated and concentrated too much on Tuco, so I am wondering what "Tuco alone" scenes were in the theatrical version.

www.imdb.com/title/tt0060196/alternateversions?ref_=tt_ql_trv_5The original Australian dvd was the theatrical version - I think 161 minutes. In the extras were 14 minutes of deleted scenes. The blu-ray has incorporated the previously deleted scenes into the movie. They were re-dubbed with OLD Eastwood and Wallach, with another voice actor doing the van Cleef dialogue.

I am 99.9% sure that the chicken scene was not in the theatrical. This is the one where his gang mysteriously materializes around him, right? That was almost certainly one of the extended version scenes. I think there is also one new scene with Angel Eyes around that point in the movie too.

You are 100% right since I watched it and the chicken scene was not there.
