It's Qyburn. Who cares? No offense, but he served his purpose. He was one of my favorite side characters down the stretch. I didn't even know who he was. I had to look him up . . Ha ha ha !!!

I don't think he recovered at all. I think he was just trying to save Cersei. Adrenaline is a powerful thing. I think it is melodramatic bullshit. Doesn't matter how much adrenaline one has. You get "run through" like that, you ain't going nowhere. he didn’t get run through. Euron did. Jaime was stabbed twice in the side.

He was one of my favorite side characters down the stretch. Don't get me wrong. I liked him too. He was Cersei's "consigliore". He was an insidious, plotting, little ass kisser. And he was kissing the right ass too. Well... until the end, that is.
It seems to me that his one bad trait was having too much loyalty for someone who did good for him. Had someone better than Cersei given him so much power and respect then he probably would have also done a lot for that other person and if that other person was of good nature then Qyburn could have been using his intelligence for the betterment of the realm.

The Frankenstein monster (The Mountain) turned against his own creator. I had anticipated a bit more from Qyburn. But what we saw was a surprise end for him.
What do you guys think about his death and his conduct in the entirety of the last episode?
I liked it. It was brutal and realistic. ( like this show used to be ) It also showed his weakness. Glad that you enjoyed it, Ackbar. Yeah, he probably didn't realize that the zombie he had raised might still not be 100% dependable. Although the mountain might have realised that the end was guaranteed for his side and so he may have wanted to get some happiness by violence. His favourite thing after rape & plunder.

What I liked most about this episode is how undramatric a lot of the deaths were. Really the Hound/Mountain fight was overly dramatic and largely pointless, but it was something they had to do. I liked the Hound/Mountain fight.... I do wish that The Hound had a more of a victory than a "I'm taking you with me". Yeah but what is left for the character to do at that point? His arc is over. His entire reason for existence these past few seasons was to kill his brother, and his final act accomplished that. Plus he had to be mortally wounded and near-blind at that point.

Perhaps. But I think he skewed a little dark himself, even before coming to Kings Landing. Remember, he experimented on "dying" people. His methods were always a bit Machiavellian. And he lent himself to wrong doing a bit too easily.
