I’m hearing some sites saying it isn’t official. But if it is I honestly don’t think he’s a bad choice. I think many who are gonna complain probably just know him from Twilight. Before writing him off I suggest checking out The Rover and Good Time. He shows what he can really do acting wise.

I think he is a solid actor besides the Twilight movies, but I don't want to see him play Bruce Wayne/Batman.

I think once he bulks up he could be fine in the role. Definitely better choice than the other names in the running like Nicholas Hoult and Aaron Taylor Johnson

Lets give him a chance. I won't even hold those Twilight films against him (not even Leonardo Dicaprio could have saved those)
He has been great in a good amount of indie films (Good Time, Lost City of Z, The Rover etc) . All he needs to do is bulk up and I think he'll do a good job . Plus, I betcha Nolan put in a good word about him as he is starring in his next film too .

I don't know how he'll do as batman, but he's dedinitely one of the best young actors working today. Some people still think of him from Twilight, but his performances in Good Time & High Life are incredible and perhaps even Oscar worthy.
