Excluding Heath Ledger, who gives the best performance in a superhero movie?

I won't say this is the best-best performance, it's not yet mentioned, but it got my full attention. Actor Michael Fassbender as Magneto in "X-Men: First Class".

Fassbender's popularity at the time was still growing, not everybody knew his name. If you didn't watch him in "Inglourious Basterds" two years prior, you might've not known him at all. Starring as the leading co-star antagonist/protagonist Magneto, seeking his revenge. He speaks three different languages in the film. He kills at will in his introduction. Attempts to work with Xavier. Has a couple emotional revelations about his mother and demise of Sebastian Shaw. He chooses to be the villain at the end. For me, he did an excellent job with someone I read and loved in the comic books. You see his story here below.
