TL,DR: Lannisters can zigzag. i agree with this very much , the ones who will disagree are brienne/jamie fans , who dont understand the love and connection jamie/cersei had.

I always thought Jaimes redemption would happen via his namesake rather than his actual character. As I think once you allow yourself to see things from his perspective you can understand if not justify any of the things he’s done...but I always thought and hoped his name would be altered in the world. Where people don’t speak of Kingslayer as a man who betrayed his oath but rather someone great. As is, he’ll always go down as the man who stabbed his King in the back and that doesn’t do his character justice.
