You can also ask me anything since I’m inebriated.
This thread will spoil the episode so fuck off if you’re to uncool to watch it when it airs.

Does anyone else think HBO should go back to using this?

It was sure nice of all the rubble to leave a nice path in the middle of the road to walk through.

I'm watching but I've missed so many episodes, I'm not in a position to really comment with authority.
Random thoughts -
Arya turned out to be a very interesting character.
Daenerys was such an empowering female character, her concluding story line was disappointing. If she had to go mad, doing so in the penultimate episode was buzzkill. I wish she had gone mad at some point - believable given her father - but regained her wits and used her might for right.
Cercei's death was anticlimactic. Didn't she deserve something dramatic? Well, I guess nothing was going to top the walk of shame.
Tyrion was a consistently great character. Peter Dinklage is a wonderful actor.

Best episode of this season at least. You must be joking. Name one better, and don't make me laugh by mentioning either of the ones focusing on battles.

She was pretty ruthless. Female empowerment is better personified by Sansa.

When Tyrion gave his speech about how everyone cheered for her killing bad men despite its inevitable conclusion, that was him talking to the audience.

The transformation, though, was too fast for me. To love her for years and then have to despise her. . .rough. But I missed a lot. Power corrupts and she was going for absolute power.

It’s been hinted at for several seasons. Don’t forget she is the daughter of the Mad King and in season one watched with zero emotion as melted gold was poured down her brother’s throat. If so many people fell for her that’s on them not seeing the signs that not all was well nor thinking of her family past that would come back to haunt her character. She was also isolated, betrayed by Jon and Vari, and possibly poisoned by the latter.

Brilliant ending. Loved everything about it. Extremely satisfying. Pretty much made up for the penultimate shitshow. My only gripe: How did the unsullied know Jon killed her? Couldn't he have just said, "uhh she just took off on her dragon guys, I don't know where she went. Bitches be crazy."

She was also isolated, betrayed by Jon and Variations, and possibly poisoned by the latter. Her brother was so abusive to her, I couldn't imagine she'd be upset at his death. I cheered when that MFer died. Again, I need to watch the episodes I missed. Maybe her madness, though inevitable, would have been easier to take, if I'd seen all and in sequence. I got a call during tonight's episode and missed a few minutes. Did the dragon fly off with her body?
