Melody Time (1948) - 7.5/10. A Disney film that few people have heard of. It consists of various unrelated segments. Mostly good, but I hated the inane "Pecos Bill" segment.

Logan - 8/10. I liked it, but X-Men Origins: Wolverine is still my favorite Wolverine movie.

Kong: Skull Island--7.5/10--A different sort of Kong Film,no Beauty and the Beast here, just a wild action movie with Kong kicking ass everywhere, all sorts of creatures--John Goodman is wasted here, SAmuel Z Jackson was ok,but Tom Huddleston was the best of the cast, and the female lead was good--Skip the first 20 minutes

The Lion King (1994) - 9/10. Fabulous film.
Also today watched two TV episodes, an episode of the British sitcom "The Larkins" (Angry Young Man, telecast 10 October 1958) and an episode of the U.S. sitcom "Bewitched" (Be It Ever So Mortgaged, telecast 24 September 1964). Both were enjoyable.
This was a good day of viewing, much appreciated after the truly awful, miserable day I had yesterday.
No idea what to do next. Might play video games or do some reading.

Rewatched I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997) for the first time in about 12 years or so. Completely average slasher flick. It's pretty amazing that they thought a fisherman guy wielding a hook would be a scary horror figure. Hard to believe they're remaking this of all films. The Sarah Michelle Gellar chase sequence is good, though. 5/10

Total Recall (2012) - 6/10. A pointless remake. The original movie was much better and Schwarzenegger is much better actor than Farrell.

Me Before You
a nice little rom-com with a twist. Emilia Clarke isn't bad, but her eyebrows are distracting (and overacts at times...and the character can be a bit much), Claflin is actually pretty solid and has a decent leading man quality. a bit color by numbers at times, and has a horrible montage sequence around the first act (you'll see it), and the ending is....so-so, but overall for what it is it's fine.
6.3/10

Miss Sloan
Decent to good movie, very well acted, but suffers from an inconsistent script which manages to occasionally detract from any forward movement it has made, whether it be story or actors.
6.9-7/10

The last thing I watched for four different categories.
Feature film: Peter Pan (1953, 77 minutes) - 7.5/10. Dated...very dated, and uneven. But enjoyable.
Short film: Lancashire Coast (1957, 15 minutes)- 8/10. Travelogue showing off places like Blackpool, filmed in glorious colour. The best part is towards the end, where the various lights of various colours at night time create a beautiful effect.
TV: "Password" - Florence Henderson & Buddy Hackett (telecast 31 July 1962, 25 minutes) - 7.5/10. Entertaining episode of this light-hearted celebrity-based game show. I really need to relax, and this show helped.
Internet video: CRS-12 Launch Webcast (Live webcast on 15 August 2017 my time or 14 August 2017 at the place it originated from, 29 minutes) - 8/10. Enjoyable rocket launch, this time of a Falcon 9 rocket.

Today I watched one film and two TV episodes:
The film: The Wizard of Oz (1939, USA, 102 minutes) - 9/10. Almost perfect.
The TV episodes: Your Hit Parade - Episode telecast 16 April 1955 (USA, 29 minutes) - 8/10. Enjoyable presentation of pop music, with singers Dorothy Collins, Snooky Lanson, Gisele MacKenzie, and Russell Arms. Also featured is Raymond Scott and his Quintet performing "Powerhouse", and dancer Tad Tadlock (of "Design for Dreaming" fame/infamy) appears as well. The copy I viewed had the original 1955 commercials intact, which added to the fun...these were for Richard Hudnut shampoo, Richard Hudnut home permanent, and Lucky Strike cigarettes.
Speed Racer - Episode titled "The Great Plan: Part 1" (telecast 23 September 1967, Japan, 24 minutes) - 7.5/10. Exciting episode, though the animation could have been better.

Watched Dunkirk last Thursday
Easily the best film I've seen in recent years. Edge of your seat thrills and a captivating storyline, just proves, no matter the material, Nolan can still make great movies.

Today I watched the 1940 film Fantasia, which I enjoyed. But I was tired when I watched it. 8/10. I might have given it a higher rating if I was more awake.
Also watched some TV material, such as NASA TV's live coverage of an Atlas V launch (although technically I watched this TV material via an online stream). Again, I was tired when I watched it. But I always enjoy a rocket launch. I believe this is the first Atlas V launch I've watched via a live stream.
I've felt tired for two days in a row now (I was so tired yesterday that I watched no audio-visual content at all). Hope I am more awake tomorrow, I've got lots of films and TV series to watch and would like to watch them, but this tiredness is proving to make things difficult.

the Howling (1981) 9/10
this is the second best werewolf picture of all. vile antagonist, creepy cast, creative special effects, spooky atmosphere, good cinematography, tons of great visual gags, and possibly my favorite Dick Miller role.

Alien:Covenant. It's well made and there are some suspenseful moments. The creature and gore effects aren't badly done. But the characters are not that interesting or charismatic; except of course Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, and oddly enough Danny McBride. The flashback sequences often show far more interesting things than the actual plot which is a mixup of Forbidden Planet, The Island of Doctor Moreau, and even the older Alien movies. Final ranking: (5/10)

High Hat (1937) - 7/10. No, not Top Hat, but High Hat. Yes, I realise the titles are confusingly similar. This is a b-movie musical by a minor studio. Rather fun. The film features a radio station setting, which is cool. Towards the end there was some spoof commercials, maybe an early example of a film spoofing advertising? Also interesting to see Franklin Pangborn sing a couple songs. This film appears on an Alpha Video DVD and seems to be very rare....
