"You must have some knowledge of old east state movies few have heard of, How come? " I have a broad range of interest in Classic Film in cinematic art, a collector by nature my collection of subtitled films is sourced from all over the world and continually grows with regular orders. A fascinating pastime, a stimulating hobby in which I have learnt so much of other cultures , history, and geography, following on from viewing leads into much interesting research. We watch a film every evening, European films in particular are a big favourite last night one from Romania which was a knockout, It is just amazing how many excellent non American classic films are available and how many more exciting titles await discovery... Le corbeau , The Raven (1943) France

This does not show birdyness in the title but Bill and Coo 1948Welcome to Chirpendale. There's plenty of parking space, plus it has everything: a bar where bird citizens can drink junebug sundaes and listen to jazzy music. But the bird citizens are terrorized by an evil raven called "The Black Menace", but a pluck young bird named Bill Singer, who's a taxi driver by day, comes to the aid of a damsel in distress, Coo, who's trapped in a fire. And soon the circus comes to town, Bill and Coo get box perches and witness ferocious feats and even laugh along with Cannonball Twitcher on an out of control motorcycle! But soon The Black Menace returns, and Bill and the rest of the citizens put together a plan to put him away for good.
The feathered residents of Chirpendale are terrorized by an evil black crow by the name of "The Black Menace". But to the citizen's rescue comes a brave young taxi puller named Bill! "The Black Menace" is played by the famous Jimmy the Crow who also starred in a little film that involved some red shoes and a golden road. The ENTIRE cast are birds. I remember seeing this in what my Uncle Vinny calls "my yoot" and I recently found a pretty poor public domain copy but at least it is watchable and not just a memory.
