...that you don't plan to rewatch, but would like someone to explain them to you?

London Fields or The Snowman. I'll start off by saying that the books don't matter!

London Fields or The Snowman. I'll start off by saying that the books don't matter! The Snowman feels like a film that had at least an hour cut from it. Apparently, there was very little additional footage filmed - so no coherent extended cut on the horizon.

I don't think THE ILLUSTRATED MAN makes sense. Ray Bradbury reportedly hated it. I love that scenic lakeside location though.

The Christian Bale Batman where scary-face-mask guy takes over the city and there are citizen tribunals because... I didn't understand a bit of it.

Cloud Atlas...what happened there? The book helps with that one, although nothing really happens in the conventional sense. Just souls in touch (or something like it) in different times.

"The Matrix" was soooo confusing to me! I had to go hang out in the lobby half way through and just wait it out because I went with somebody and he apparently liked it. I just got frustrated. I don't even want to have it explained to me! Afterwards, the guy I was with came out and said "you didn't like it, did you?"
On the other hand, I made my mom watch "Amarcord" AND "3 Women" (this was many years ago and two separate occasions), and both times she told me "that was the worst movie I ever saw!" I wonder had we watched them back to back which one she would have hated more. lol
With "Amarcord", there really is nothing to get, it's just very long on nostalgia, no plot to speak of, and with "3 Women", well.....
I can laugh now, but at the time, she was upset!

LAST YEAR AT MARIENBAD But I fear it defies explanation. Oh, my God! I LOVE "Last Year at Marienbad"!!! It is the last word on visually sumptuous! I admit it appears nonsensical, but for me it's just like waking up inside my own fantastic silver dream! There is no other movie like it!

I love the director and finally saw Revolver(05) but that was a load of old bollocks
Bergmans Persona annoyed me too
Too many others to mention but I found something to enjoy about most of them

The Wizard of Oz. Why the hell would anyone want to go back to Kansas? In the later books, Baum moved Dorothy and her aunt and uncle to Oz permanently. I guess the studio might have thought that would undercut the 'no place like home' message, unless they were saving this for a sequel that never came to pass, lol.

For me it's the really experimental films like Inland Empire or especially The Mirror. I couldn't make it all the way through either one. The only way I can think of to make a movie more bizarre than the mirror is to make the audience unsure of whether the scenes in a movie were really filmed or not.

Inception.
I understood it; it was just shyte!
We all have three or four levels of consciousness where time runs differently the further we go into a persons subconscious?
Get fucked!!!

Inherent Vice. I watched it because Joaquin Phoenix is sex on a stick, but the plot (?) fell apart for me and went in 50 different directions.
Will not watch again. I gave it a good hour and a half before bailing.
