Speaking for myself, I'm getting used to it, but somehow, it just isn't the same as the former IMDb message boards, especially the Classic Film Board.
When the original boards closed down in February, there were almost 50 pages of posts on the CFB alone.
I really loved how a poster could start a thread regarding a certain movie or TV show, and there would be any number of replies.
I also miss some of the posters of the original format, especially hobnob (I can't remember his signature number).
You wouldn't believe how much I learned from him; I bet he's a film historian by occupation.
There were so many fascinating posts on the old forum.
Of course, this is a new one, and I don't doubt that there will be many more pages of posts here.
It just seems--well--kinda generic.
But on the plus side, they do a fantastic job of keeping trolls off the boards.
