Judging from this trailer alone, Stallone here doesn't "feel" like Rambo. I mean when it comes to Rambo, we're more used to the long hair, head band, muscles, M60 machine gun, etc. We're not used to seeing him look like the Marlboro Man.

I have never been much of a Rambo fan, but it would have been nice if this movie at least looked like a Rambo film.
I appreciate taking a different approach, but the trailer makes it look just like 50 other generic action movies.

At least Rambo (2008) still looked and felt like a Rambo film to an extent.

It's a strange move, but I've got faith in Sly. "Creed" was enough for me to understand he's able to perhaps play his title character not totally in the spotlight all the time.
Am kind of biting my nails at this, though. I'm rooting for it and I hope it's good. Fingers crossed.

I'll obviously see it as I'm a huge Rambo fan and ever since he did Creed 1 and 2, thought he should do at least play Rambo one more time. It does kinda look like another B-action movie and if you didn't know the title of the film, you'd think this is just another action film from Sly. I'm all for taking it in a different direction, outside the jungle, but his long hair and the sweatband have always been a staple of Rambo's character, that he just looks like Sly instead. Could have at least trimmed the hair just a little and kept the sweatband.

I love the last Rambo film, but I think it only worked because of Sly's performance. The plot is as generic as it comes and thin as hell, and really a retread of Rambo 3, but coming off 30 later after the 3rd one, Sly was able to adapt the character to a modern conflict and really sell his character and how'd he react to it.

Like an unofficial remake of Blood Father.

It looks......OK? Sly still looks the part of a grizzled Rambo, but what else are they going to explore in this film that we haven't seen before?

I thought Rambo was a disappointment. Nothing but gore porn. Hope this one is better

It probably doesn't "feel" like a Rambo movie because there just isn't as much of a demand for that type of action movie (80s muscle bound over the top action hero). I guess they're tying to go with an "everyman" direction this time.

It's a Rambo movie with Stallone, so it's probably worth at least a viewing. p.s. I mildly like the general series besides the 2nd movie. I think... the video is no longer available.
Your right but you can find it elsewhere online as I just viewed it a moment ago.
