inspired by moviemaniac's honest post in the GI JANE thread.
i think they are crap.
PINK was awful. and the new VIDYA BALAN film looks awful. its terrible to watch the roly poly homely VIDYA act like a badass.

Yes they're shit. You either need someone like Charlize Theron to pull off an action role or go the Gone Girl route.

The Bengali version is quite overrated anyway.

Are you referring to me? I can't recall a GI Jane thread. But anyway the answer is no. They are not all crap. In the past few years there have been a couple of good ones. 'chameli' 'lajja' and 'Daman' just to name a few.

Yep seen it. I can't remember much about it other than ayub khan getting murdered, Maduri having an extra marital affair and Mohan Joshi playing the bad ass villian. I need to see it again as I first seen it many times back. Wasn't that a prakash ja movie?

I remember liking Shabri, but maybe that was because i was more new to Bollywood. Pretty sure that was the only one i ever saw. It's not a very song and dance movie anyways.

Assuming that you have no connection with India, how did you get into Indian movies? Because i wanted to check out something different. I don't exactly remember how i got into them.
