I like Swiss cheese, mushrooms and caramelized onions and a slice of pickle on my burgers .
I do not like ketchup or mustard (I only eat mustard when I'm having a Publix Cuban)

what do you fine folks get on your burgers? i'm pickles, lettuce, tomato, grilled onion, mustard, ketchup, mayo. Jalapeno sauce, iceberg lettuce, incredibly thin slice of tomato, Cholula sauce, very thin slices of gherkin, black pepper, and a slice of 'American' cheese.

I do like lettuce on burgers, and some sandwiches. But, I should have specified that it needs to be Iceberg lettuce. (I guess that I'm pickier than I thought.  ) |

(I guess that I'm pickier than I thought. ) Cheeseburger with red onion, tomato, lettuce, mustard and pickle on a toasted bun. Or like below with Swiss cheese, sauteed onions and mushrooms.

Haven't had a burger in about 10 years. However I used to love Kopps-double burger, extra cheese, sautéed onions...and their onion rings.

At a place like Five Guys or Fuddruckers where you can choose your own toppings, I go with tomato, onions, mushrooms, mustard, mayo. At gourmet burger places I might pick something a bit different, like blue cheese or goat cheese or a fried egg or guacamole.
Funny story: my niece is a picky eater. She doesn’t like anything on her cheeseburgers – no lettuce, no tomatoes, no mustard, no ketchup. One time at a restaurant my brother (her father) ordered a burger for her and stressed to the server that there should be nothing on it. The server acknowledged and asked "just the cheese then”, at which point my niece (who must have been six or seven at the time) added “and the meat!”.

I missed it but compensated today on my diet cheat day by going to McDonalds and making an Air Land and Sea burger.

my butcher grounded me up a 50/50 beef and pork blend today, going to try it tonight, and doesn't using pork make it a real hamburger?
