What was terrible with the LOGAN finale?
I saw it on IMAX and when the movie ended, people just stayed along even if it was already common knowledge that there would be no post-credits scene. And people were very quiet as the credits rolled by...as if they were trying to compose themselves ( a few shed tears or felt emotionally affected ) and come to terms that we may have seen the last of Logan/Wolverine!
Excellent ending to the saga of the Clawed Mutant!

High Rating and terrible finale to a series. I think you mean High rating and a perfect finale to a seriesNo I meant what I said,If I thought was Perfect I would say so. Dark Knight Rises was a terrible to the DK Trilogy,I was ready for that movie to over at the 90 min Mark. The movie should of been twice the movie Dark Knight was quality wise. I liked the other Wolverine Movies, I was legit excited for this, but after watching I started thinking of TDKR. Not much I can praise about this movie. Its my least favorite of the wolverine movies.

Really? Yikes. To each his own I guess, but I thought the first one was dog shit and the second one was totally forgettable. Honestly, Logan was the only one I enjoyed.

Both are very fitting ends to a great character arc established in previous films.

I agree. They both represent everything wrong the grim and gritty approach.

Then this makes sense. Batman Begins/The Dark Knight. Two well made movies with a terrible finale that just doesn't fit in since it's actually bad. Origins/The Wolverine. Two mostly meh movies with a fantastic finale, that also doesn't fit in since it's actually good. I can see why if you liked the first two of each trilogy, you'd hate the third.

Logan suggests that a dark and gritty approach can be financially and critically successful, which may be too difficult to handle for some. Not only that, it shows that if there's a reason for the grim and grittiness, it works very well, beyond just bloodier and gorier.

I'm tired of people finding excuses for critics liking a movie that they don't like( last Hugh Jackman Wolverine in this case). When critics praise something they like they're absolutely right, obviously.
How about critics liked Logan because it's a damn great movie?
