Both my posts were tongue in cheek sarcasm, but if you want to avoid the irony, due to your own beliefs, go ahead. Well at least my question is there in case someone else wants to discuss it without tongue in cheek sarcasm. Well, I guess others would have to know what you are really asking Erj. What is it you want to hear?

Tell me what you think I was "really asking," and then I'll tell you how far off base you are.

That, and some of the behavior by the um. . ."aliens" is just surreal. I remember once case where some guy was approached by an "alien", who asked him what time of day it was. He responded something like "noon" or whatever. The "alien" replied, "You lie. It is 2:00". Except it really was noon. Why would someone even make something like that up? You get the feeling that some of these people who report sightings/contact could benefit from the services of an 'alien'ist (>groan<). The aliens are going to melt your brain amy...

Tell me what you think I was "really asking," and then I'll tell you how far off base you are. Mate! You have never been on base.

The thread isn't about God. The thread is about UFOs. Don't bother replying to me again unless you've changed your mind and want to discuss it seriously. I expected better than this from you, which was a mistake.

What is the point you want to make about UFO's?

I am not being a phony, sir. The point about UFOs? For one thing, the term UFO means a flying object which is unidentified. It doesn't mean aliens in a spaceship from another planet. Society has been brainwashed to think it means that, but the the stuff that people see could be very terrestrial in origin.

You get the feeling that some of these people who report sightings/contact could benefit from the services of an 'alien'ist (>groan<). You'd think, but the weird thing is that folks who report surreal, dream like events like this don't seem to typically strike interviewers as having a mental illness. When you consider that many also report feeling paralyzed, which happens during most dreams, the hypothesis that at least some of these events involve something weird happening in ordinary people's brains offers itself as a plausible consideration. It's really a fascinating phenomenon. Far more things in heaven and earth, Horatio. Although I'm not one of those social revisionists who goes so far as to claim mental illness is purely a social construct and not an objective reality (I've seen too much real suffering from it amongst various people I've known to buy into that notion), this sort of thing does point up forcibly that none of us are 'normal', and all of us harbor monsters in the deeps of our minds that are only too ready to surface under whatever, for each of us, may constitute the proper conditions.

Correlating UFO sightings and then having aliens inside them is a cultural conditioning. Stories and movies, from the 50's in particular, have helped keep this myth alive.
Interesting, whenever there is a sighting of something, it is blurry or fuzzy or hazy and just a random once happening and the Loch Ness monster is still real to some.
I don't discredit lifeforms in other parts of the Universe, but we really can't know whom is more advanced from the other.

I am not writing off conspiracy theories and the establishment often likes to dangle some sort of carrot, even if to get people distracted and off track. Common sense and logic need apply as well and if there was alien life-form found visiting the planet, culture shock would set in for most as well.
People want answers to stuff, but sometimes we may not like the answers and fear will set in. It may be too much to deal\cope with.

Damn. Do not want lucidity. Lucidity in the Age of Trump a definite deficit. May have to utilize time machine to re-visit Club 54 and stock up on readily available Quaaludes.
