I have no idea what went on in that original scene. But I have no doubt the writers, producers, and props dept. knew what they were doing in making those dick shaped props. And that is a great quote to go with it.

That picture is photoshopped, combining this image from "A Taste of Armaggedon"...  ... with this image from "What Are Little Girls Made Of?"  The er, rock, in question started out as an "innocent" stalactite Kirk broke loose from the roof of the cave.  But the phallic shape is unmistakable, so somebody, the prop department, Shatner, and/or the director must have been having fun with the prop. |
