The original release date was last November. Why would it be Captain Marvel? I mean, Dark Phoenix would have came out 1st on both of it's 1st two release dates. It would have had to have been a movie that came out before Dark Phoenix's original release date.

I’m not saying it is CM, but if it is, I guess it could be possible that while the Disney/Fox deal was going through, people like Bob Iger got to see an early cut of Dark Phoenix, noticed the similarities to CM, and then requested that the third act be changed as a result. I don’t know. I’m just spitballing here.

It's something of a relief to hear the ending wasn't changed because it was bad.

Just realized something... This is the second time they've changed their ending because of another movie. They changed the ending of First Class because of Inception. Was suppose to be a psychic battle like the hotel scene.
