My point exactly. Snow White is a boring blank slate of a character, so the idea that people would be outraged at Disney and Rachel Ziegler for supposedly bastardizing her is ridiculous. People are just using the Disney remake as more fodder in their culture war crap, because they have a bone to pick with Disney. I seriously doubt that Ben Shapiro is making a Snow White movie because he’s passionate about the material. I think more people would be fine with the movie if more of the live-action remakes were of better quality, Disney was more trusted as a company by more consumers, if the likes of Bob Iger does not try to use the company as a building block to his political aspiration, and Rachel Zegler was more likeable of a personality. As for The Daily Wire production, last I checked Ben Shapiro isn't in charge of the entertainment division of the company, I believe that would be Jeremy Boreing(?). I think the movie was hoped to be seen as an alternative to Disney's new retelling but with it being released later on attempts to steal thunder won't be there. I would have personally produced another movie based on a different, little known Grimm fairy tale that few to none have adapted yet. Again, Disney isn’t trying to push some kind of agenda with these remakes. They’re trying to make money, just like every other corporation out there. Yeah, these remakes suck, but that has nothing to do with “wokeness.” They suck because they’re cynical corporate cash grabs that want to exploit nostalgia and recognizable icons while putting in the bare minimum of effort. There is a good case to be made when criticizing these movies, but it does not involve whining about how they’re supposedly trying to push some feminist or anti-white agenda. Unfortunately, milking nerd outrage has become a very lucrative business model for YouTubers in the past six years, which grifters like The Quartering and Nerdrotic have taken advantage of. That brings me back to my earlier point. These people are not genuinely outraged about the animated Snow White film being “besmirched” or whatever. They’re just trying to make money off angry nerds who hate Kathleen Kennedy and Brie Larson, and think Disney is some kind of Marxist company that wants to turn kids gay.

I respect Snow White’s place in cinema history - but no one cares about the character. She was never anyone’s favourite princess, she is the least interesting thing about her own story. I would have to kindly disagree, Disney's Snow White might not be the most complex of the Disney Princesses that would come later on, but like with DC's Superman is to the idea of the superhero, Snow White is to the fairy tale princess. She is an idealistic presentation of a character archetype, displaying kindness, acceptance, responsibility, and care for others. Her royalty does mot define who she is, which is a contrast to the story's villain. In terms of relevance, most merchandise being sold with Disney's Princesses typically include her, and she often feels like a must-have at Disney's theme parks. She is still pretty well-liked. See - to me Cinderella is the quintessential princess archetype. Snow is definitely a staple, and it’s not that people dislike her - I just don’t think there’s as much nostalgia for her.

I did not make the claim that Disney has an agenda that they're trying to push with these remakes or did I say that they were lackluster due to being or attempting to be woke, your response feels more like you had to get something off of your shoulder than a direct response to me.

All I said was that I didn’t believe all these people complaining about the Snow White remake for being “woke” actually cared about Snow White to begin with. You then responded to me after that.

Yes, but you didn't need to go that far into it. I think you laid out your argument pretty clear earlier, I was not really arguing against that talking point.
