I have not seen it yet but ill eventually see it because Vera Farmiga is in it  but I don't expect to think much of the movie though. my guess... ill find it decent enough for a one time viewing but chances are it will be ultimately forgettable. |

i think i will skip it, the last Godzilla was terrible and this one looks like it will kill brain cells, i will see Rocketman instead and have gay old time

I viewed it recently and it's pretty much what I expected... Movie itself = Thumbs Down (but it's okay enough for a viewing) Vera Farmiga = Thumbs Up, as usual. she's The Anomaly as she's not supposed to be THAT attractive, but she is basically if Vera Farmiga was not in it, I would not have bothered seeing it. but that aside for a moment... it's pretty much what one would expect from a movie like this. |

It was an alright monster film although the 2014 film is much better. The human drama was decent enough, but felt tired and the theme of man's effect on the environment was on the nose, and Dr. Emma Russell's decision to let the monsters run amok on the Earth felt nonsensical. There was too little of Godzilla, but the monster action were enjoyable to watch although it gets covered up with rain, smoke, and darkness. I give it a 7/10.
