So Game of Thrones has been considered by many as one of the best shows ever made. The finale was considered a huge let down and poorly received by critics and fans alike.
Deadwood, the greatest show ever made was cancelled too soon. No finale.
So HBO finally makes the finale and it's nearly perfect on RT and every critic is saying "Why does this have to end? It's perfect"
I think this finally puts the nail in the coffin, Deadwood > GoT

I never understood how people judge entire series on the finale of the series.

I wouldn't give the Deadwood movie anywhere near as high as 98% or rate the last Game of Thrones episode anywhere near as low as 52%. Those numbers are extreme.

Rotten Tomatoes rotten score is not an average score. It's an average of what the rotten tomatoes are and 3 out of 5 stars is considered rotten when in reality it means the show is liked more than disliked. Individual reviews are the only thing worth considering.

It's 60 out of a hundred, so it's close to average, but the standard of something be bad on the basis of it being average is silly unless you think the whole series hinges on the last hour of it which is in and of itself silly.

I’ve never really watched Deadwood, but I don’t trust rotten tomatoes at all. I find their ratings off for so many great things, and on the opposite side there are a lot of films that are rated much better than they actually are. So I’m definitely not letting them tell me Game of Thrones is an inferior series.

Just saw CraveTv has all 3 seasons of Deadwood. Gonna have to binge before I see the movie.

Deadwood was only three seasons and Game of Thrones was 8. There is no comparison.

I loved both shows. Al Swearengen is one of the best characters in any show ever.
