Hey, hey, hey you... Gis an update. How you doing after stroking out? Good quick recovery I hope? I haven't commented regarding an update because for the past three weeks nothing had changed. This started to worry me as although "plateaus" are common in a recovery cycle they tend to happen about three months after the stroke (from what I have read) and not just a month later. I started to wonder if I had reached a point where it was "as good as it gets" or would get. But starting about three days ago I was finding that I have more dexterity when buttoning or unbuttoning buttons. The tightness on the top of my forearm seems to be a bit less and the fingers a bit less stiff and feeling less "numb" or clumsy. Hopefully I am getting back on track to the 100% recovery that my doctor was saying he thought I would make within six months time.

I wish you better health and a full recovery. Give it time and I am sure you will have a full recovery ( or next to )

Well, sort of.... My left arm went rather useless. I went into the hospital and I was placed in a wheel chair to get an MRI as the neurologist thought I was having a stroke. Waiting for the test I pondered my situation and the scene from "Casablanca" came to mind where Humphrey Bogart tells Ingrid Bergman "Go ahead and pull the trigger, you'll be doing me a favor." I had been depressed before this occurred. I had no fear, just resignation. I had a thought or two of what I might see if I got worse and vanished from this world, but it was not really much of a religious nature. But I was curious that I was not afraid. The test confirmed the stroke, but the effect appears to be limited to the arm. It appears I will have to carry on. I am very sorry to hear that Geode. I hope you recover fully in the coming days.
Also sorry about not replying soon enough. I wasn't posting here for the last few weeks because of being busy in other things.

five point nine trillion and counting
if i had an eighteen year old daughter or son it would seem horrific that since they were born my country has spent close to six trillion dollars on wars and the profit sharing therein.
of course my kids would be magically exempt from having to participate therein because i would have instilled in them the power to rise above even the most patriotically inspired form of homogenized hate producing spin paraded around like a tyrannosaurs rex sporting its very first woody just dying for a mate to let lauded over rituals begin.
so i wont have kids- i'll ponder all the over-priced art work one could buy with that kind of cash- because i can't rationalize the point of existing in a world where i'm constantly generating excuses for turning those people into over cooked hash.
sjw 06/15/19 inspired at this very moment in time by all those zeros.
from the 'blitzkrieg series' of poems

Hi Geode, It's been a while since I heard from you. I hope things have improved for you. Please update about your health if you login and are in good health.

Wishing you best of luck. You were one of the best forum members here.

geode Checking again if you are alright? Did he go by any other names? I've heard of some forum member deaths in another, much smaller branch out forum from the old IMDB.

geode Checking again if you are alright? I just deleted a post that I just made.... after realizing that I had made the same post pretty much verbatim as I did in 2019. (Not remembering this thread from years ago) Has geode ever responded, or have you heard any update from anyone else, from your previous pleas of an update?

Hopefully he's not "dead". But I'm cool with him staying "gone" (as his personality left a lot to be desired).
