Most of the "blockbusters" so far this year - Beauty & The Beast, Logan, Kong - did better overseas than domestically.
In the case of The Great Wall and XXX Return Of Xander Cage the the foreign Box Office over 4 and 6 times better

In the case of The Great Wall and XXX Return Of Xander Cage the the foreign Box Office over 4 and 6 times better The Great Wall was mostly Chinese money. I could see the shared universe nonsense making movies more flavorless. We will see.
