I'm done. Honestly. I don't understand why you would recast Superman?
Henry Cavill looks like the comic book Superman. He is only 33 years old (Superman's Age) he loves the character, he wants to play the role, he has a large fanbase. Plus, WE DON'T NEED ANOTHER DAMN REEEEBOOOOOT!!! JESUS!!!!
If nothing else give him a chance to do a 'normal' superman film that isn't about angst, edgy, brooding, or dark. I understand Man of Steel, he was figuring out who he was. Now, he can just be FULL ON SUPERMAN. The movie can just start in Metropolis, he's Clark Kent at the Daily Planet and BOOM, movie begins with a problem. No need to reboot/recast. I know he can do it, I've seen him in "The Tudors" and other roles. He can be fun, charming, and entertaining. I think it's a shame WB thinks they have to re-cast him because of the DCEU and his association with Zack Snyder.
They didn't fire Jason Momoa or Gal Gadot and they were in the DCEU.

I 100% agree. Henry Cavill was just starting to become the Superman we all know and love in Justice League. It's too bad we were stuck with doom and gloom Superman for two films. This is coming from someone who enjoyed Man of Steel and Batman V. Superman. Cavill at least deserves an actual sequel to Man of Steel.l. I'm okay with Batman being recast but Cavill should stay as Superman.

Does he want to be Superman, though? I mean, they couldn't even get him for that Shazam cameo. And it's clearly supposed to be Cavill's Superman given the scaly, muted suit.

WB purposely didn't use Cavill because they were in negotiations on his contract and they hadn't decided if he was going to be rebooted/recast yet, so they left it like that.

I am done too.
Man of Steel is far from perfect, but I enjoy it for what it is. BvS less so and Justice League is just awful. I am still annoyed that they didn't make a proper follow up to MoS. The movie ends with him at the Daily Planet, which perfectly set it up for a proper sequel.
I still don't understand what is so difficult about making a great Superman movie in the vein of the 1990's animated series.

This^^^ I was under the impression that Cavill just wasn't interested anymore. The only issue Cavill has had is his pay. He was getting paid the 'initial' pay for Man of Steel for both "BvS" and "JL" it is common that actors get step pay for each subsequent sequel. So after meeting with "The Rock" about Black Adam/Shazam!/Superman... The Rock told him he should be getting paid more.
So he has been in negotiations with WB. On the WB side, their saying "We don't think you bring in enough Box Office revenue to justify a raise" and he is saying "I have been loyal through three films, I deserve more pay than the standard fee for a first film."
He still wants to play Superman.

Then it is just a case of the studio not willing to pay him enough money. The thing is that WB fucked up the whole franchise. I suppose they could just make a sequel to MoS, pay him what he wants and ignore BvS and Justice League, but I think they just want to scrap it all and start over. I can't really blame them and bringing him back as the character would just confuse people.

I've been DONE!
I am just NOT a Fan at all of SuperHeroes Teaming Up with Each Other.
I prefer the Super Hero Movies where the Super Hero is on his or her own.

If he really wanted to play Superman, he'd take take the millions he's already getting and play Superman. Playing chicken with WB's wallets, especially after two underperforming Superman movies, is not "I really want to keep playing him" behavior.

But Justice League is the only DC movie where they team up. In BvS the characters don't team up until the last 15 minutes.

Well there is money to be made so it's not surprising to recast once again.

You hate teaming up THAT much that you can't even tolerate it for 15 minutes? Do you not like when Batman teams up with Robin in TAS either?

I am not jumping on you for anything, why is it suddenly a crime for me to not like it when Super Heroes team up with each other ?

I’m gonna bet they didn’t expect those two characters to make as much profit as they did compared with Snyder’s magnum opus.

This is neither here nor there, but Cavill is 36. Anyway I'm fine with him in the role but does it really matter at this point? They've recast Batman and the DCEU is 95% garbage anyway. They can't write a script to save their lives, it doesn't matter who they cast.

I never said it was a crime. I am just curious.

Hey, Come On Man!
I am not jumping on you for anything, why is it suddenly a crime for me to not like it when Super Heroes team up with each other ?
I never said it was a crime. I am just curious. Well I just grew up with Solo Super Hero Movies like Tim Burton's 2 Batman Movies along with "BATMAN: MASK OF THE PHANTASM" (My Number 1 Favorite Animated "BATMAN" Movie, I still to this day Absolutely Love It), I also enjoyed the First Tobey Maguire "SPIDER-MAN" Movie, and then I Absolutely Love Christopher Nolan's Batman Movie Trilogy which I think is almost Perfect!
The only recent Super Hero Movies (besides Nolan's Batman Movies) that I like now are "IRON MAN", "MAN OF STEEL", and "WONDER WOMAN".
