Just call it The Mass Stupidity Effect. I've noticed a certain....investment....by certain atheist posters in ridiculing the Mandela Effect and anyone who tries to talk about it seriously. Is there a name for that effect too? I just happen to think it’s just a lot of people getting it wrong. Is that so bad?

Looney Tunes drives me wild. I get the origins of the name, but I don't personally remember the car toons for their musical components. Music was a huge part of it, yes, but the gags stick out more - for me, anyway. Also: it's Tiny Toon Adventures.

I have been fascinated by this, and watched a program on this on TV. 1.) Queen's song "We are the champions" never ends with...."of the world" but people think it does. 2.) Darth Vader never said, "Luke, I am your father." 3.) That Sally Field one that was quoted before (I fell for that one) 4.) I also am guilty of the Sinbad film! 5.) There is no "Jiffy" peanut butter. It's "Jif". 6.) The one that bugs me is I could've sworn Hannibal Lecter said, "Hello Clarice." But he never did. 7.) Then there's the Tiananmen Square photo, which raised a bunch of false memories. I think it's just a bunch of people remembering the same things wrong. I always knew it was Jif peanut butter and not jiffy. I. wonder if it has something to do with people confusing he terms Skippy and Jif together

That's what I was thinking as well. It made the most sense... Skippy + Jif = Jiffy? lol

That's what I was thinking as well. It made the most sense... Skippy + Jif = Jiffy? lol It seems more easily explainable then the others Like the Sinbad Shazam movie I find the most interesting because people have claimed they remember actually watching the movie along with the plot and remember the actor Jonathan Brandis being the child actor. They said it was different than Kazzam and remember watching both of them. I still think they are just confused though lol. Sinbad could have easily confirmed he was in a genie movie if he actually was but instead made a joke out of it

I have had a few experiences with this. But the Merry Melodies/Looney Tunes thing has a much more down to Earth explanation. There were two series made for Warner Bros. at the Schlesinger Studio(. The Merry Melodies were more based on music had a no recurring character rule(eventually broken with EggHead) and was in color since 1934. The Looney Tunes were in black and white until 1943. From then on, they were interchangeable. The name Looney Tunes might have prevailed after the studio was sold to Warner Bros. but I'm not sure.
I have had my own Mandela Effect experiences. One with a different version of the movie Fools Rush In where they don't get together in the end and one with a minor change to the lyrics to the song American Woman which I discovered on the Fourth of July as it turns out.
I haven't met anybody who shares my experience of either one of these.
