Probably directed by some trendy SFX director with action background.
Spielberg would produce (which means nothing today)
Marty would be a nerd, possibly some SJW label of today to overcome. Jennifer would be the popular girl he pines for. They would add a gay friend or transgender friend, possibly both. He's have a circle of misfits friends (akin to Stranger Things) but in 2020.
He'd travel back to 1985 because the 80s reboots are so trendy today.
They'd make references to New Coke instead of Pepsi. He'd probably be at an arcade instead of a diner.
Biff would be a biggot and portrayed as an ignorant white, jock, straight, male ... You know, the perfect villain in today's society.
He'd make racial, sexual, and other slurs that are considered not PC and Marty would look like the perfect hero.
Doc would be played by like Josh Gad or Zack Galifanakis, maybe even Will Ferrell. He'd be more of a lucky Buffon who isn't very smart, has hair brained ideas, but somehow luck's upon this flux capacitor.
They'd get into some "It"/ "Stranger Things" themed adventure with bikes, cassettes, 80s pop references, he'd probably do the "Floss" at the dance during a Michael Jackson song and it would catch on, and he'll say "your kids are going to love it".
Doc will ask him "If you're really from the future, who is the President?" And he says "Donald Trump" and he laughs at him.
Then he'd return to 2020 after a series of unfortunate events.
The future would be different. He would be with Jennifer, the cool guy. But the twist is he will realize he was in love with some girl in his old social group and dump Jennifer (the white straight rich girl = Evil) for the socially awkward biracial girl with autism or whatever.
It sets up a sequel with a post credits scene with Doc saying something about his family in the future. This time the socially awkward love interest goes with him. She will have a larger part in the sequel.
