The lead actress "Jane Levy" was terrific. I didn't think Renee Zellweger was good. I thought she was good in "Jerry McQuire". But I think it's been downhill from there. I guess she was good in "Chicago".
Basically it's a soap opera. Where people's number one motivation is to cause trouble for others. I think there is a lot of unrealism in it.
SPOILERS !!!
- I believe the the basic premise is unrealistic. A contract which bans a spouse from talking in private with their spouse is not legally enforceable. - The contractual agreement was the spouses couldn't talk about one particular incident. Nothing said they couldn't talk about the husband's meeting with an ex girlfriend. Contrived unnecessary conflict. - Original COO left the company checks unlocked. Somebody stole 50k by way of a forged check. She is never blamed for not locking up company checkbook. She is touted as highly qualified and able. And unfairly fired for political reasons. She is the one who left the checkbook not secured. - The husband rescued his ex girlfriend from a violent rapist. A fight broke out. The rapist was killed. In the real world that would be self-defense. No surviving witnesses. But the husband turns himself in and pleads guilty to murder. He even kept the bat he used to kill the rapist. Stupid. - Lots of small things like another character breaks out of being held hostage by hammering out of metal burglar bars with an axe. Why not use the axe to chop through the wooden door? - The dialogue is smart. The plot is stupid.
Anybody else watch it?

I went in expecting to enjoy it because I like soap operas and I like the show the creator did before this (Revenge). I've only watched 3 episodes so far, but I haven't really been enjoying it. It's not necessarily bad, but I just don't think they've really done a good job at engaging their audience.

It gets better from there on out --- if you like that kind of thing.
