meh. ever hear of 'jay bruce'? Giants had been talking about signing Bruce because, you know, he's got that same shitty .247 lifetime BA that they require but he hits for power and they don't want that. Not a guy who drives in runs, nope. We can only get .240 hitters with no power and a lot of them.

Given how much he basically just gets pitched around, the fact that his slugging is as high as it is amazes me to no end. Guy is a once-in-a-generation talent.

Imagine if the Angels ever got someone other than a past-his-prime Pujols to protect him. If he hit in front of Judge and Stanton or was on the Cubs, Dodgers, Red Sox, Brewers or Phillies he’d be unstoppable. |

Hitting wise, outside the Harper's walks and OBP, there's not that much difference.
