Toy Story 3 was a great film ... so was Toy Story 2 ... and Toy Story as well. I want as many Toy Story films as Rocky ones

Anyone remember when Pixar wasn't a creatively bankrupt company? Good times.

As long as most of the original voice actors are alive, then sure, just don't milk it to the point that it becomes tedious and boring to watch, i.e. the Ice Age franchise.

I think they should title it like "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" Instead of "Toy Story 4" it should be like... "Woody's Round Up: A Toy Story" The prequel about how Woody came to be. or "Buzz of Star Command: A Toy Story" and so so on and so forth. Then the new adventures could be about Bonnie and wot not. I don't like the idea of a "Toy Story 4" straight up. I like to think of the OG trilogy standing on its own.

Their friendship will never....ever....ever...die.
Ever, it seems.

there's nothing inherently wrong with sequels - as long as the quality matches the original and it makes sense narratively to keep the story going, so what.
the last toy story did such a good job wrapping things up though.

the last toy story did such a good job wrapping things up though. My thoughts exactly! The story arc was done. It seems Pixar is just making this for the money and not because there is some story to tell. If TS 4 is a big hit, then you can be sure that there will be 5 and 6. If it flops then there won't be anymore sequels to TS, leaving the new story arc that they start in TS 4 unfinished. And you'll no doubt hear a lot of people then say that they don't consider part 4 to be canon.

TheToy story films never made any sense to me. Why they kept it a secret that they could talk and move, yet always worried about being sold or given away. As if anyone would ever want to get rid of a toy like that.

No issues.
Should they create a new franchise involving talking toys?

I am not that upset because the first three were so good. If this one is good too, then who cares? This one will focus on the search for Bo-Peep.

I thought the third wrapped things up nicely, but I can't say I'm not excited about a fourth.
All of the sequels have been amazing thus far, hopefully this one will be great as well.

I heard Toy Story 4 is more of a spin off than a direct sequel.
