5 months from the World Cup?
3 drubbings in a row.
Italy 2 Australia 1.
So last week Football Federation Australia admitted they wanted the team style to change, after the coach of 5 years got the Australian team to rank world #6.
It seems a more attacking team might get a bigger TV audience. Believe it ?
Australia spent the first half doing well rehearsed set pieces that almost paid off several times. Italy got 2 goals disallowed offside. In the 2nd half Italy worked out Australias sloppy defence (sure, we really need a more attacking style to get more audience).
Result 2-1.

I think it's pretty universally recognized that every aspect of Alen Stajcic's sacking; from the circumstances leading to it, to the decision itself, to the public justification, to the overall outcome for the team; has been a gigantic and unnecessary clusterfuck.

Having watched the game - it’s obvious that Milicic isn’t quite up to speed on how women’s football differs from Men’s. A “high line” is fine in Men’s football - the greater speed of the players makes both offsides much more common, and allows a greater margin for error because defenders can cover a greater distance in a shorter period of time. If effect, the field is simply too big for women to do it.
When it comes to the FFA - I’d genuinely believe anything. I’ve heard plenty of rumours about Stajcic and his sacking (I know a few people who know him now on the Central Coast and the Mariners) and the only consistent fact is that no one genuinely knows anything, and there are plenty of illogical and contradictory ‘facts’ floating around.

David Gallop is a beancounter who "manages" the game as a business with seemingly little weight to the fact that people are the heart of sport. He was hated when he left the NRL for his hardnosed treatment of salary cap breaches.
