Oh that, Walt Dizzy:  There's really no need to remake most of their animated films into live action and to do so on an extensive scale within the span of a few years reeks of a lack of creative ingenuity. Other than money, one of the reasons for the remakes is to rectify the flaws of the original films by making them more politically correct or feminist. So far, the only remakes that I really like were the two remakes of The Jungle Book from 1994 and 2016.

I've only seen The Jungle Book (2016) remake. It was pretty good. I agree with Archelaus that's mainly just a money grab.
