Tom Hardy's stock feels spent.

Zach McGowan perhaps but he may be not well known enough.

Wolverine is dead I thought? He and the rest of the X-Men are likely to be brought back rebooted in the MCU.

Wolverine is dead I thought? The Fox version of Wolverine is dead. Now that Fox's era is over and the X-Men are owned by Disney, they'll probably be re-booted as part of the MCU. It doesn't much matter to me if they do or not, but if they do I never got the whole Tom Hardy thing to begin with...he's never impressed me.

I doubt they'd be replacing the core members any time soon. Thus they'd be hard pressed to find new characters. So long as there's profit to be had, I suppose.

Zach McGowan perhaps but he may be not well known enough. Hugh Jackman was an unknown. Then again, Marvel tends to fill out their cast with as many big names as they can get.

Believe me, even if Disney ends up making MCU films direct for their streaming service they will milk this cow until its dry or a dead rotting corpse.

It's going to be a beta actor if a white guy and diverse if macho. But I doubt they will go the latter route because even with nonwhite male characters Disney doesn't like assertiveness in male characters. Their ideal of a strong man is the skinny Obama-ish monarch in Pirates of the Caribbean 4.

I'm willing to make a wager I will be right.
They won't pick a Hugh Jackman type for him. He was a fluke casting because the other guy was busy and they needed a replacement. They won't pick a short tough guy with a cigar. It's Disney. They already picked a Spider-man who sounds like a little kid at 22.

Didn't watch Thor or Captain America? Or Guardians of the Galaxy? Or Ironman? Plenty of buff white guys to choose from. And they picked someone who sounds young to play a teenager? You don't say.

Thor and Captain America were cast before Disney bought Marvel---RDJ is more of a nerd and Marvel made him the main character so they are following the trend.
And not every teenager sounds like they are 10--but to sound that way at 22 means his voice ain't gonna change so they deliberately chose someone who would sound perpetually child-like.

Yes, because he's playing a young character. It's ok. He's not playing retirement-age Peter Parker, so no worries about his voice. And there are still plenty of buff white guys to choose from. Even after Disney acquired Marvel.
