7/10
The plot - An accidental cross-time radio link connects father and son across 30 years. The son is able saves his father's life due to this but this causes a butterfly effect that gets his mother killed by a serial killer, something that didn't happen in the original timeline. From there the father and son try to catch the killer in both the past and the future via the time radio. Good movie overall with a great story, but the directing is average and it has some plot holes and parts where the writer didn't really think things through.
I think it could be remade into a great movie with a better script and a better director.
Does anybody know of any other sci-fi serial killer movies?

Ku_on. Japanese film with subtitles. The summary from IMDb:One of those with powers decides to kill anyone else with the powers as well as anyone else who gets in the way. The film follows the efforts of a few with the powers to stop this madman.

I enjoyed it, thing I enjoyed the most is probably them talking over the radio at first, especially discovering it and the whole mystery behind it. the whole murder thing I lost a little interest in and the ending although kind of sappy I did kind of like how it had probably one of the most overly Happy endings of all time.
It's not a movie that gets talked about a lot but it's very good. It's the type of movie that if it comes on TV I'll probably watch it.

I love the plot, especially how the son in the future uses the history of the case to help his dad in the past to catch a killer. Brilliant idea.
Cons: I could've done without the exaggerated New York accents, which were annoying, and some of the sappiness at the end. Also, I would've cast someone other than Jim Caviezel in the lead role. He's not bad or anything, I just feel there are more affable actors that would've made the movie even better.
But I'm nitpicking here. Overall, a terrific movie, which I own on DVD.
8/10

Overall, a terrific movie, which I own on DVD. I love it too and also own it on DVD. As far as other sci-fi serial killer movies, there's Time After Time (1979)

Just for the record, I normally love New York accents in movies, but for some reason I just found it slightly annoying in this movie. Maybe because it sounded kind of phony to me.

I am not someone who usually has a problem with phony sounding accents as long as I am able to tell what accent the actor is attempting and as long as it is relatively consistent.

Yes, it matters a lot. In that case, I apologize for not knowing the dictionary definition of serial killer. His behavior does mostly fit, but I have hard time classifying an unkillable zombie as a serial killer.
