I mean at 3am - you're allowed a 'Meat' at a local Diner (Denny's) - This of course to go along with Pancakes, Waffles, French Toast or Home Fries.... Where are you going? Go!   |

no sir. i know those that go with ham on thanksgiving or easter this guy isn't having it. but... but.... buttt..... if we're going with a grilled 'ham and cheese with tomato and bacon'  ?? Woooo-HOOOO!!!!!

Bacon all day at the diners. But at home I have been on a steady routine of Banquet Brown N Serve sausages with Eggo Waffles for a few years now. Mostly because Bacon has gotten pricey the last few years.

This one requires some context as bacon is better on it's own but sausage can be thrown in a lot of dishes. As purely a breakfast side, I go for the bacon.

Depends on so many factors, but since sausage comes in so many different varieties and can be used in all sorts of dishes then I gotta go with the versatility.
If you're purely talking breakfast sandwich... maybe bacon. Maybe.
