Was there 3 weeks ago for first time. Did all the touristy things. Hollywood is pretty trashy. Went to a bunch of movie locations. Traffic does suck. I have no reason to go back.

I'm a pilot. There's something wrong when you fly into four different commercial airports and they're all "Los Angeles." If you look up the definition of the term "urban sprawl" in the dictionary, you know what you'll find? The definition of the term "urban sprawl," which it fucking is.

I not only lived there when I was 2 and 3 but my aunt still lives in LA. The last time I was there was in 2000.

I've been there twice, and I loved it both times. There's something about the atmosphere that was wonderful. I loved the smell and feel of the warm breeze coming off the ocean. I didn't see a lot of traffic, at least nothing I haven't seen in other large cities. The music on the radio was the best I've ever heard, maybe the result of my rental car, but also possibly the higher wattage stations.
Highly recommended.
