NOT a particularly 'Christ like' response to a segment of society!

The man is obviously mentally ill. Interesting how religion appears very much at the forefront of this attitude and all in then name of this God thing they worship. This is non-news really, bigoted psychopaths are everywhere.

Sadly he will probably remain a pastor! On a positive note it looks like a very small church. Allegedly he is still preaching there. Don't they have laws about inciting violence in the USA? ...let alone a blatant breach of proposing that the Government be responsible for killing gays, mixing crackpot religion with the activities of the 'State'? Americans seem to get very confused with the concepts of freedom religion, freedom of speech and separation of church and State.

I never understood killing in the name of God. If He wants to do that He certainly has the power. He doesn't need our help.

Yes, and especially calling on the 'Government' to do it in the name of God is especially bizarre, twisted and ridiculous besides going against the American Constitution as it does in several ways!

The Bible is dangerous in the hands of those who want to justify their hate and who do nothing but misinterpret it for their own means.
I guess he glossed over the 6th Commandment, the Golden Rule, and Jesus saying to 'love they enemy as thyself'.
Personally, I think he's in the closet and will probably get caught someday with a male prostitute.

I think the same thing should happen to thrill killing cops.

So your problem is only with the lunatic fringe, and you are not in favor of outlawing religion for everyone? Is that fair to say?

I am agreeing with Heeeey on her summation of this particular case. I have consistently said that people have the right to practising their own religion, however they have NO right to expect me to agree with them and less right to have their beliefs imposed on me somehow through secular law, which they have to abide by, like everybody else. People can believe what they like and I also reserve the right to question their beliefs in discussion as they, have to question me. It is called a discussion and that is presumably why we are here?

When has anyone ever expected you to agree? When? I still remember that hissy fit you threw because a church was giving out pamphlets. If you don't want a pamphlet, you don't have to take it.

I don't remember that. I walk by prothelytisers in the street. I do however not like it when they trespass on my property and disturb my peace! People expect atheists to agree to that little thing that they call freedom of religion and I refer to as freedom FROM religion.

If you catch me or anyone else trying to force you to agree to something you don't want to agree with, let me know so that I can get it stopped for you. I'm guessing no one pulled a gun on you when you were over here, or we'd have heard about it. You could have gone on endlessly about that.
