So I saw The Predator for the first time. What the shit was this? This was more of a parody of The Predator films. The tone of this film is so odd. It starts out like a regular sci-fi action film then it shifts to a much more comedic tone. Way too comedic. Its like there is a joke or gag way too often. A little humor s fine but this was nuts. And what was plot exactly?. One Predator comes to save us but kills many people while trying to do so but another bigger Predator comes to kill him and harvest an autistic boys spinal fluid? The whole film is a total mess. Its like an Asylum version of Predator but with a bigger budget.
2/10 One of my worst of 2018.
What did you all think?

Hugely disappointing. It has its moments but it does try too hard to be comedic.

It's a ridiculous and idiotic movie, but I enjoy it to a certain extent. There are a handful of things I think are interesting about it such as the regular Predator chasing after the super Predator and trying to stop him and the stuff with the autistic kid. Also Thomas Jane with Tourette Syndrome I just can't not like. The movie is like Predator vs. the misfits and I find that amusing. One thing I find hilarious is that the government apparently doesn't have a lot of resources since they only get one scientist to check all this stuff out and it is Olivia Munn, who is basically just pulling information and guesses out of nowhere. Boyd Holbrook's character actually points this out at one point. 5.5/10
I'll take it over Predators, which is just a boring re-hash of the original.

He doesn't come to save us, he comes to give us the weapons to fight the other Predator just out of necessity. Isn't that what happened? He doesn't care about humans at all, he just cares about us killing his enemy. Meaning if the super predators take over their planet then maybe we will be able to kill them off if they come to our planet.

Unexciting, and cringeworthy. Not a fan.

It was pretty terrible, which is a shame given the talent involved. Shane Black and Fred Dekker churned out this Junior high nonsense? Unfunny and nonsensical. Stick a fork in this franchise already.

I think my expectations spoiled it a bit, as I was really excited to see Shane Black return. It turned out being a bit forgettable and complicated the lore a bit too much for my liking. I didn't mind the comedy, but some of those jokes were downright terrible.
Really wanted to like it...but it was kind of a dud for me.
