I find this appalling.
'Mummers' is a huge parade down here on New Years.
Owners of this 'Social Club'/'Bar' are members of the Mummers
Giant party held for eons. Legendary here. A part of 'Philly'
Members of the NHL's Stanley Cup Champion St. Louis Blues visited this sports bar in Philly when in last place.
The bar - in turn declared themselves a St. Louis Blues Bar. In Philly.
I find this the most disgusting act of worminess I have ever been witness too. Apparently they in turn took the vomit enducing 70's/80's (whats the difference) song 'Gloria' as their theme at the bar - and hence made it their team theme while on their way from worst to 1st and 'The Cup'
A St. Louis Blues 'Bar' in Philadelphia.
Do you come across 'enemy bars' - i.e. a bar that follows another team in your city.

I have zero problem with this in any situation (the biggest Steelers fan club is in Baltimore), but especially in a case like this. What history is there between the Blues and Flyers? It's not like they are sworn enemies or anything.
I'm sure there are Michigan bars in Ohio and Ohio State bars in Michigan. If that can happen, then certainly this can happen.

Shame!
It's about having pride in your city!
What if the tables were turned and there was a Ravens bar in Steelers Nation? A Pats bar in Pittsburgh? Browns? Bengals?
Shame!
Oh - I get it - you're surfing on the beach in Southern Cali sipping on a Vodka Cranberry - and you aren't actually in Pittsburgh - and you just 'don't get it'!

Anybody else call a Vodka Cranberry a Cape Cod?
I've got a book called Always a Home Game that is a road trip of Steelers bars in the 31 other NFL cities (and other places as well). You can go to the Fox and Hound on Spruce Street or O'Neal's Pub on South 3rd to find a Steelers bar. So apparently Philadelphia is pretty much like San Diego!
Being in a transplant city is cool with football. The main thoroughfare in Pacific Beach is called Garnett Street and half the buildings are bars. Every major fanbase has their own bar. You walk down the street and see each group cheering their team - - it's pretty awesome.

With your tootsies in the San Diego sand!
YOU......JUST DON'T GET IT!
Which I might add - is why the Chargers left your Brie Cheese Eatin' A$$es
But you've always got the NBA and NHL - ummmmm - nevermind

Other continent, sure. There are bars for nearly every Premier League side in Toronto. There are not Montreal Canadiens &/or Detroit Tigers bars here.

Other continent, sure. There are bars for nearly every Premier League side in Toronto. There are not Montreal Canadiens &/or Detroit Tigers bars here. Hockey is hardcore their.
And in Canada a whole.
Imagine if their were Canadien, Flames, Canuck, Jets bars out there?
It would be chaos.
This is how I consider it here - large populous city - haven't checked the #s recently - either #4 through #6 give or take in population with a rabid fanbase with a big 4 of the Eagles, Phillies, Flyers and Sixers.
The owner of this bar was on a local sports radio talk show here during the week and got his a$$ kicked by a sports radio show host (he used to be in New York at times with Stephen A. Smith but he is Philly with a storied history here) - Mike Missanelli who is a Philly Staple for years upon years upon years.
As an establishment and owner - you have every right how to market your business - and I've heard he gives to charity too; however this getting publicity here for this is just blasphemy - as the Flyers have struggled for years - it's wormy - douchey, weasely - fine - pack your bar with like 150-200 regular 'haters' who don't fit in here and go against the norm - this is the BS we put up with with Cowboy fans times 10,000 - this clown will be an afterthought in 5 years.
Disgusting.
Prediction - this place is closed in 5 years - especially after the Orange and Black Win a Cup (save your laughter)
