That pic of Darkseid does look pretty cool. I'm still baffled by that Porter dude getting the part though.

It looks so cool. Not saying it’d have worked, but Snyder’s eye for things that look cool is on another level.

The Knightmare sequence is totally unnecessary but man he nailed the design of an Apokolips invasion. If that was what they were fighting in Justice League, I'd had been more onboard.

The Knightmare sequence would’ve been important for future movies, but those movies are never getting made.

So they had Desaad at some point too apparently. I guess as the DCEU version of The Other?

The more I read about how much they cut from the movie, the more I find myself utterly amazed at how much the executives at WB were panicking after BvS. Between getting Joss Whedon to handle reshoots, cutting out all the stuff involving any of the New Gods other than Steppenwolf, hiring Danny Elfman at the last minute, and insisting that the movie be no more than two hours long, it’s obvious that WB just wanted to get the whole thing over with.

Yeah they definitely shit enough bricks to build their own Fortress of Solitude.

What they SHOULD have done was push the movie back to give it the time it needed to be done right. When it was becoming obvious that they weren't going to be able to make a great movie within the time constraint, they should have pushed it back. Just a few months might have made all the difference, and Snyder might have been able to finish it himself. Not saying it would've been great, but it might have been better and more consistent.

They clearly didn’t trust Snyder’s vision after BvS, so there’s pretty much no way they would’ve allowed him to make the movie he set out to make regardless.

Then there's the very real and very legitimate tragedy the Snyder family suffered too. Whether or not he left because of that or they booted him because of that, we'll never really know, but it's more than legit enough a reason for him to leave.

Probably both. The higher-ups probably saw a chance to be rid of him but do it *politely* in the sense "Hey man, this is sad and tragic. Why don't you stay home and don't come back?". Something like that.

Since Snyder keeps sharing images from his version of JL, I guess I’ll keep posting them in this thread.

Anyone else wish that, somehow, Snyder could get permission to do some sort of novelization where he could include some of these shots? That way we could have some kind of 'what might have been' (the Snyder-Cut, if you will) without the expense of the VFX work DC/WB isn't going to do to finish it. Plus, Snyder could have one cohesive source to point people to about what his vision was.
