Most conceptions of god are male, because most people who invented religions are male.
There are, of course, female conceptions of god; goddess is a thing.
If there is a god, it seems to me that it's not going to have a physical body and thus not going to fit any gender models familiar to humans.
The closest I can come to assigning a gender to god is to note that women are stereotypically assigned the creative/loving/nurturing role in human society. A god would be the ultimate example of that.
So if there is a god, and one insists on using gender, it would be most sensible to call it female.

God may or may not be a mammal, but surely He is a vertebrate, and as such most likely has an unambiguous sex.

It’s so weird that the notion of what a god is is even defined by a gender type.
What started all this was the assumption that if God is a dude he doesn’t like women as much.
I love women way more than I do dudes so is God a gay male?

It is honestly NOT something that I think about a lot however the logic is fascinating. Some of it goes something like this: God created the universe and man in his own image. ( he reserved woman to be created merely from Adam's rib) He impregnated Mary somehow to produce Jesus. The jury is out where Jesus was indeed human, God or half and half. Jesus is said to be male. It has always fascinated me that in all the depictions of 'him' on the cross, there is a universality of a loin cloth. You could call it 'the evidence of the loin cloth'.

Jesus Christ is a male in His human form. so if your going to refer to God as male or female, a male would be the obvious answer. but here is a decent article online which basically says He's neither male or female basically... bulldogcatholic.org/god-as-he/p.s.
