I have been living in an apartment for almost 40 years. I am amazed at how many tenants never open their windows.
I was always told people breathe in oxygen, and breathe out carbon dioxide. If there is no fresh air in a confined space, a large buildup of carbon dioxide is not healthy.
I try to open my windows regularly for fresh air.
(The funny thing is, not only do many tenants never open their windows. But they never even open their curtains, shades or blinds. What's wrong with these people?)
Do you ever open your windows?

Pretty often as long as the weather is decent.

I don't think that is healthy.

Yes, I open them to smell the sweet grass and the blooming jasmine and to listen to the birdies, especially the Carolina wren that does his John Belushi impression nearly every morning (the bird's call--"Cheeseburger, cheeseburger, cheeseburger...."). I only close the windows when the heat or air conditioning is running.

I left them open all the time in summer but mosquitoes used to eat me alive so now I keep them closed. Everyday when the weather is warm. I live in the country so the air is fresh. Xcalatë you should consider what I did. I put these in every window. No worries about mosquitoes, flies or bees. And you still get the fresh air. Screens. Measure your windows and take your measurements to someplace like Home Depot or Lowe's.

Once in a while during those brief periods between Summer and Winter when I'm not running the AC or heater. People in Florida don't generally open their windows. Even with a screen it's an invitation to all sorts of pests such as ants, flies, mosquitos, termites, maybe even Florida Man.

Very regularly, even briefly everyday in winter if possible to get some fresh air through.

In the summer yes. In the winter, no. The patio door is already drafty so air leaks in anyway during winter.
Right now I have the windows closed because its a bit cold.

Where is it "a bit cold" in June? British Columbia, Lower Mainland, near the Peace Arch border crossing.

Where is it "a bit cold" in June? The southern hemisphere. Actually many parts of the Southern Hemisphere never get cold. Like close to the equator. But I was asking specifically where the poster was where it is a bit cold.

Wow. It is never cold on New Orleans in June. In fact, it hailed here one July. That was a surprise.
Definitely some kind of climate change whatever the cause. It used to be hot and warm by march or so--now, since around 2010, it has often been amazingly cold through May and June.
I recall one recent summer where it was cold and rainy through to the end of July.
