Liar. Justice League reversed 100% of Batman vs Superman. No, it didn't. In BvS, Superman and Batman met Wonder Woman and the 3 of them teamed up to defeat Darkseid. JL doesn't reverse any of that. Also, this is the MCU board and this is a thread about an MCU movie. Why are you MCU fans always trying to turn every thread into a MCU vs DC war? This thread is about Endgame doing a "re-release" with nothing more than a post-credit scene in a shameful and pathetic attempt to beat Avatar. Stay on topic! Darkseid was in the turd of a film called BvS? I don't recall that. I remember them fighting a DOOMSDAY cave troll. As for Endgame, it didn't reverse anything, Thanos still snapped. Half of the population was still wiped. Justice League proved that the Death of Superman was 100% pointless in BvS. Why kill off Superman if you were just going to bring him back anyway?

For me it's less about the money and more about the time investment. I don't want to sit there for three hours for 5 minutes of new stuff. The only new footage is a post-credit scene so it'll be closer to 15 seconds rather than 5 minutes of new stuff.

If they decided against this and left the extra footage out of the film (satisfying your gripe that this is being done simply as a money grab to beat Avatar's record), would that make Endgame a better film for you (say raise it from 1 star to 2 stars)? Or are you just looking for more reasons to complain, as usual?
It really boggles the mind why someone would spend so much time on a board talking about a film and series of films that they hate. What are you hoping to accomplish other than giving everyone here the mental image of a loser sitting alone in his basement raging at the world through his keyboard? Does being pathetic come naturally to you or is it simply a poor life choice?

Like many movie villains, he thinks he's the good guy.

I wonder if it is going to be the scene they shot with Tony talking to a teenage Morgan. The one that mirrors Thanos and child Gamora. The one where Morgan tells Tony she understands why he sacrificed himself.

Many people see movies more than once. This re-release is simply an effort to expand the number of theaters so those who want to see the movie in a theater again, can. If Disney just wanted to surpass the re-release box office totals of Avatar, they would have just bought up more seat!

I mentioned time investment on Twitter in terms of why I haven't seen it yet and may possibly go see it upon rerelease and got met immediately with judgmental assholes. So many people telling others how they should spend their money or whether or not they're fans. Then comments like "it's only 3 hours! What's wrong with you?!" It's so annoying. People are so quick to forget that not everybody is in the same situation as themselves. For me to see the film in a nice setting I'd have to drive 45 minutes to and from the theater. That's dedicating basically 5 hours to see a single movie.

Enlighten us with your genius on how they should have covered Thanos getting the stones, the snap and undoing the snap in a 2 and a half hour movie?! Endgame reversed 90% of Infinity War so it was a waste of 5 hours. Since 90% of what happened was reversed, the remaining 10% could've been done in less than half an hour. It was certainly a waste of five hours on you, since you have spent endless additional hours on this board trying to figure out why/how the time travel rules were not the same as in Back to the Future. Think about it, folks. DC-Fraud sat through five hours of Infinity War & Endgame. Totally confounded. Five hours of mindless seething! If only he had sat next to a 5th grader, who could have explained it to him. The cool thing about Endgame is that there was no reset button at the end. The world is not the same as it was at the beginning of Infinity War. There is that five year gap that everyone has to reconcile with. I hope the new Spiderman delves into that a bit. The ramifications are endless and potentially fascinating! No doubt, DC-Fraud will need our help to understand it all, once again.

Four of us so $25 for Toy Story tomorrow, ($6 Tuesdays), matinees for the others. ($32 each movie). Dollar tree before each show for candies and bottles of water.

From what I read on IGN, it sounds like a few random scenes you'd find in the DVD special features tacked on to the movie.
An intro, a tribute, a 20 second scene and a preview for Spider-Man which is out this week.
At least Avatar had actual new footage added into the movie.

It's worth seeing for the movie itself, the bonus stuff at the end you can skip. The Stan Lee tribute was fun but not worth paying to see. The Hulk scene they cut...I'm trying to figure out if it was a gag or what. Unfinished effects notwithstanding (the Hulk's face is hilarious), it features some of the worst acting I've ever seen. If it's real, I completely understand why it didn't make the film. The Spidey promo was completely unnecessary. Is there a single person who wasn't going to see it that had their mind changed by this?
I'm glad I saw it again one more time but if you only wanted to go for the extras, I'd pass. It was an interesting crowd, I'll say that. Still had some cheers when Cap lifted Mjolnir. It was odd because I had a few people sitting in my aisle that were genuinely engaged in the film yet this was definitely their first viewing. Still a lot of crying in the aisle behind me when Tony died.
Personally, I enjoy the film more each time I see it. The 'wow factor' is obviously not as great (though Avengers Assemble is never going to not give me chills), but I pick up on something new each time. The music when Tony thinks he's going to die in the beginning is the same music from his funeral, stuff like that. Also, aspects that bothered me on pervious viewings aren't as obnoxious the more I see it. On first viewing, I thought Hulk was underserved in this film; the second time I decided he had some significant feats (though it's still a shame he never got a rematch with Thanos). The second time I thought Thor was underserved and while I still think his arc is wasted to a degree, I can buy that he was completely broken by the snap and his failure to stop it. His decision to become a space adventurer at the end is no different than Valkyrie finding herself in Ragnarok after her own traumatic experience had her turn away from Asgard for a while-- which is probably why she understands Thor's decision to go. I'm not saying I agree with these creative choices 100%, but they make a bit more sense upon further review and aren't as aggravating as they once were.
Anyway, the film was still as enjoyable, if not more so in a different way the third time around. But don't go for the extras.
