Build up to Germany - Nigeria started on the wireless... Pat Nevin reckons Nigeria's defence are well organised and tough. If they can hold Germany off for 60-70 minutes, he reckons they are in with a chance.

 So, FIFA has stepped into the middle of the tournament and asked that VAR not be used anymore to give yellow cards to keepers who step off of their line to block penalty kicks. Nothing like changing the rules midstream, right? I guess it's still not allowed to step off of your line but it can only be called if caught live by the referee. How stupid is this? |

I agree with you. I guess it can be debated, but NOT in the middle of the tournament after calls have been made that eliminated teams. It's ludicrous.

Possibly... VAR check taking yonks 😒 Goal stands. Germany 1-0 Nigeria Tricky one. Even though the German player didn't interfere with the play, she was right in front of the goalkeeper, blocking her view.

Must be up to 10 minutes of extra time this half now.
I don't like this VAR... It's killing the pace of the game.
