I wasn't expecting Mjolnir to be destroyed that easily. That kinda disappointed me. However, everything else looks awesome. They shifted tones and I think this matches Thor better. Also, this trailer showing up today took me completely by surprise.

Looks so MUCh better than Justice League (and I'm a DC guy mainly). Can't wait!

Hela looks cool, but I would've preferred a darker (not depressing) tone for a film called Ragnarok
Jeff Goldblum looks very Jeff Goldblumy™ though which is nice

It feels too much like guardians of the galaxy which I didn't expect...but this is just a teaser.

I'm very stoked with this, been too long since Thor has had his own movie, this one looks like a lot of fun. I haven't read the comics, I'm only a fan of the MCU so while I'm familiar with the Ragnarok story, and can understand why the tone doesn't look as dark as some of ya'll might have hoped for, it doesn't really bother me to be honest.

But after some thought I do think this fits better. A lot of Thor's mythos is already very fantastical: rainbow bridge, frost giants, speaking in dated English... And now they're adding space travel to different planets. The only way you can make that darker is going either LotR tone or something like Sunshine, both of which won't fit tonally with the rest of the MCU. The only successful space movie the MCU has is GotG and it looks like they're applying a bit of that tone here

Though the first 2 Thor movies had space-ish elements as well.

Now the question is, was James Gunn right? Is this truly the best MCU trailer?

Grandmaster - "And now I give you, the incredible Huuuuuuu"
Thor - "YESSSSSSSSSSSS!"

Nice! This looks awesome, and I'm surprised at how powerful they made Hela here. Then again, it raises the stakes, and I got a kick out of Thor screaming "YEEEESSSS!!!!" when the Hulk steps out into the ring.

Very interesting trailer, really boosts my hopes for this movie. So far I wasn't really considering watching it in theaters, but after this trailer, I probably will.

Good music choice, but aside from that it looks fun.
Guess the movie begins on earth?
