A really good movie. Loved all the monsters. Humans were quite pesky with the allowed screen time.

I liked Watanabe and Fermiga. But was disappointed with Charles Dance’s screen time.

Could've been a good movie if they would've focused more on the monster fights. It's quite unique that I've almost never seen a human crew dumber than the people in this movie. Better watch Godzilla: Final Wars for kick ass men in suits monster action (and American Godzilla gets his ass kicked in it too by original Godzilla!) 5/10

Yeah, I have no idea why they keep insisting on inserting dreary boring human dramas into these movies. Give me giant monsters destroying cities and punching one another in the face, and I'm happy. To save money. CGI costs a lot so they add in the people stuff to time kill.
When these films are made they aren't thinking: "how can we make the best monster movie ever?" They are thinking, "ok we need this actor for this demographic quadrant, we need to keep the CGi costs to this much, so make sure you add this here and remove this..."All legendary Pictures do it. Is a lot of the CGI at night too? Easier to render cgi at night.
