The idea of remaking BTTF (1985) is so dumb. Would it be an exact remake? Would they update the decades? Will they use the same theme songs and score or make new ones? It's dumb to even try when they won't be making the same exact movie that people have loved for over 30 years. People love those actors, the music and the car. The new one would be new people and I don't even know what the time machine would be. It was a product of its time. There have been tons of other great time travel classics that have came since so why not just be clever and make a new beloved classic time travel film. It's easy; Bill Teds, Bill Teds 2, Idiocracy, Sliders, Hot Tub Time Machine, Donnie Darko etc.
How about Marty is from the 50's or 80's and comes to 2025 instead? I guess it wouldn't work hence the title. Nevermind.

The best idea is to do nothing at all to Back to the Future.

The best idea is to do nothing at all to Back to the Future. But they're doing a Broadway show.

Of all the franchises to try and redo, this might be the worst one. The originals totally hold up as well today as they did 30-years ago. I can't imagine they'd be able to recapture the magic and chemistry that Fox, Lloyd, and Glover brought to the films.
If they would do anything it would be maybe a spin-off with the kids. The only problem with that is Fox is too sick to work now.

I doubt they will be remaking Back to the Future anytime soon as it seems to be one of those movies that a lot of people like as I think as long as that continues to be popular, which it seems it will be for the foreseeable future, it would seem unlikely they would even consider remaking it. but regardless of my opinion, here is some more info which basically says it's quite unlikely we will be seeing any more Back to the Future movies, at least for the foreseeable future... & NOTE: Zemeckis is 67 years old and Bob Gale is 68. so one would think they will be around at least another decade or so and could be around another 15-20+ years. so if we do see another Back to the Future movie it probably won't be for another 20+ years is my best guess. source = www.cinemablend.com/news/2464304/another-back-to-the-future-movie-heres-what-robert-zemeckis-now-says

If it's a reverse Back to the Future, then it would be Forward to the Past, right?

They should take the advice of Joshua from Wargames
"A strange game, the only winning move is not to play."
Speaking of which, I'm surprised they haven't redone that film.
