so we've all seen the film and its deleted scenes................................why were they deleted? I mean....they're all very good, and the alternate takes are far better than what we got in theaters. also, i'm quite surprised there wasn't a standard Extended/Director's cut for Prometheus, because 1. it needs it and 2. since most of Scott's films get one.

Well I think initially it was received well, but as time went on it became a bit more divisive. Regarding the positive reception begin the reason for it not getting an alternate cut, I have to disagree because we had different cuts to both "Alien" and "The Martian" Personally I really enjoyed the deleted and alternate scenes, there is a good scene between thereon and Elba, and the two alternate scenes with Rapace are much.....much better. |

i watched a fan edit with the deleterd scenes and think it was better with them, i enjoyed the regular version too. the opening deleted scenes with more of the gods is cool.
